You can experience everything that you want if you have the talent to do so. I left my town, graduated top of my class, retired early, and experienced every joy there is to have in this world before returning home. As you can see, I'm still quite young.
[ Did he achieve happiness? No. But we're talking about experiences. ]
The idea that someone needs immortality to do that is silly. It shouldn't be something sought after since what good is it? Are you going to figure out how to give immortality to all your loved ones? All the things you love? Time will continue to move forward regardless of what you do. As you seek this out, what you wanted to do will eventually fade in time until you cannot experience it anymore.
